INTRODUCTION

Created in December 1990 in the form of an EEIG (European Economic Interest Grouping), GESAC whose registered office is situated in Brussels, groups 34 of the largest authors' societies in the European Union, Norway and Switzerland.

As such, GESAC represents nearly 500.000 authors or their successors in title in the area of music, graphic and plastic arts, literary and dramatic works, and audiovisual as well as music publishers.
